I have been researching my family in Macon, Trousdale, Smith, Sumner, Davidson & Robertson Counties (did I miss any?....hope not!) And since you mentioned Gammons, I find that I have 3 Gammon(s) in my tree from this general area. They are not of my direct line, but are Aunts/Uncles - I have quite a bit of descendant information on Ivory Alice GAMMON daughter of Richard GAMMON & Elizabeth STAFFORD. Ivory Alice married John James DYER (b. 9-1-1881,) on January 29, 1904 in Trousdale County. They had 9 children & one of their grandchildren is a genealogy researcher too. The other Gammons in my tree is one Dora GAMMONS b. December 01, 1877, d. August 25, 1955. She married my great granduncle, Samuel DICKENS, son of John C. DICKENS & Lucy F. EVETTS. I'd like more info on her if possible. In addition to the aforementioned DYER, GAMMON(S), EVETTS & DICKENS, I am interested in CLARDY/CLARIDY, EVITS, EMERSON, GOULD, KENT, HINES & MELVIN surnames. CHEERS! Allison Dickens Butler
