I agree with Allison on this and I apologize for replying to the list at least twice. It is possible for a rootsweb mailing list to be set up to reply to the original sender rather than the list. Several lists that I subscribe to are set up this way and it was only after I received my first reply that I realized I was replying to the list rather than the individual. Maybe our listowner will check into this option.
