Obituaries: Avis Brown Thursday, March 31, 2005 Ms. Avis Brown, 64, of Franklin died March 21, 2005 at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held March 24 at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at the Rocky Mound Church Cemetery in Macon County. Ms. Brown was a native of Macon County, Tenn., a Baptist and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Herston Allen Carver and the late Laurel Bullington Carver. Survivors include her husband, George Brown; one daughter, Brenda Wyatt of Franklin; one sister, Earline Presley of Leesburg, Fla.; and one grandson.
