Mary Shrum was an older sister of Peter King Shrum, who married my 2nd great-grandaunt, Talitha DeWhitt. My information, although it is undocumented, is that Mary Shrum, the 4th of 17 children born to Peter Shrum and Sarah Beckie Lovelady, was born in 1812 in Smith County, Tennessee, and married Robert Gammons about 1828 in Tennessee. I have no information on children. Ed, all the records I have seen say that Peter and Sarah had 16 children. They owned 183 acres at what is now 2164 Dark Hollow Rd. just a little way up the road behind the old Shrum Grocery store at Old Bottom.
