Ruth, The Macon Co. history says, five familys of Carter's came to Macon but only one came from N.C. and I'm thinking this is the family I'm looking for. I would like to talk to some Carter's that are connected to this Thomas Carter. My family is still all around Macon. I have met a couple and they didn't know we were cousins. I just don't see very much talk about Carter's from the TnMacon rootweb.
