Bobby, I have Mary "Polly" Shrum b. about 1812 Married Robert Gammons b. 1808 d. about 1850 M. about 1828. She was the daughter of Peter Shrum and Sarah Beckie Lovelady. My Grandfather Radford Shrum who was the great grand son of Peter and Sarah married Betty Ann Gammons. So the Shrum name and Gammons are connected many times through out the years. I also have a Peter King Shrum, b. 1787 d. 1870, who married Sara Becky Lovelace. Their daughter was Sarah Shrum. I have Sarah Shrum marrying Jeremiah Brawner. Their daughter, Matilda Brawner, b. 1840, married Stephen Jeremiah Dixon. Matilda and Stephen daughter, Martha Sarah Adaline Dixon married Barney Wilson Carter, b. 1848. Barney and Martha's son was John Henry Carter. John married Hessie Lane. John and Hessie's daughter, Hattie Carter, was my husband's mother. I hope this helps a little.
