    3. Mary, I have been looking at this also. I have a Mary Ellis Lovelady married to John Henry Lovelady. the records I have seen show her born in 1775. It shows their marriage date was 1808. I don't belive that because all their children were born before then. So the 1775 might also may be wrong. That would make her 75 in 1850. I have reason to believe they are possibly buried in the Jessie Parker Cemetery. Was Jessie her second husband.? Ruth Ruth there are so many different dates out there on John Lovelady and Mary his wife. So I will just give you what I have according to census information and other info I've found. John Lovelady b. ca 1760-1770 SC. d. 1841 Smith Co. TN married Mary Unknown (maybe Ellis?) b. ca1760-1770 (or ca 1767) d. aft 1853 probably Macon Co.TN. I know a lot of people have Mary maiden name as Ellis but I don't have any evidence of her maiden name and many also have a Mary Ellis listed as the wife of John & Mary's son Vincent R. Lovelady. Don't know if that is factual either? The Nancy Parker in 1850 Macon Co. is Nancy LOVELADY daughter of John Lovelady & Mary. She married John PARKER (some have James Parker as her husband, but the Jackson Co. info that I posted the link to lists her as widow of John Parker) Anyway Jesse PARKER b. ca 1815 married Celina PATTERSON was John & Nancy Lovelady Parkers son. He and his wife (listed as Salina in 1850) are living with Nancy in 1850 Macon Co. Also Nancy's daughter Mary "Polly" PARKER and her husband Thomas Robert GAMMON are living with Nancy in 1850 Macon. I really believe that the Mary 83 listed as PARKER is Mary (Unknown or ELLIS) LOVELADY and was mistakenly listed as a PARKER in the census. I've just in the last week or so really started to figure out the LOVELADY's. Theres a lot of info posted on Worldconnect with different variations of names dates and their children. So its hard to sort out just what is factual. Later I will post some more of what I have on John Lovelady and Mary Unknown (maybe Ellis?) and their children. I may not get to it today. My husband's line is John & Mary Lovelady Asa & his first wife, Unknown McWhorter (or Nancy McWhorter?) Virgil A. Lovelady and Pherby M. Stone John Frame Lovelady and Synthia Elizabeth Carnahan Laura Bea Lovelady and Elster McMillen Knight Harvey Milford Knight and Ruby Woods and my hubby John Coleman Knight. Mary Knight
