Hello, everyone! It's that time again. I am STILL stuck looking for parents for Alexander or William Alexander Robinson b. 6/1849 I believe in Macon County. All census records I have seen when I can verify it is really him seem to back this up by saying he was born in TN. They also indicate his father is from VA. This is what I can verify - he has been found living alone in 1870 in Gallatin County, IL where he married Sarah Jane Bowes in 1872 - there are no parents listed on the marriage certificate : ( in 1880 Alexander and Sarah are still there with 2 small children -- no 1990 records : ( In 1900 Alex and Sarah Jane have a large family in Union County, KY. He died there in 1906 - I have found his gravesite in Union, KY. Have not been able to find a death cert. or obit. There is a 10 year old Alex living with a Garrel or Garret Robinson in the 1860 Gallatin County, IL census - no relationship is listed, but Garrell is a little old - 59 I believe. There is a Garrell Robinson in the 1850 census for Macon County, TN who is the right age, but no mention of a son named Alex who is near the right age. All records I have seen are under the name Alexander robinson except a piece of paper found in an old family Bible with the name William Alexander Robinson and a dob.
