Hawkins Nov 1811-19 Dec 1881 s/o Robert & Sarah Gilliam Hawkins; Ann (Jane) Hawkins ca 1825 - 16 Dec 1853 1st w/o James R. Hawkins d/o Solomon Davis. Added information from Michael Meador. The Macon County Historical Society have published the Macon County, TN census with added notes from 1850 thru 1910. They are available for purchase on the website www.rootsweb.com/~tnmchs/ There is an 1840 census which lists only names of head of Household and sex and ages of others in household. As Macon County did not exist at that time, being formed in 1842 from Sumner and Smith Counties, you would need to check Sumner County for earlier records. mountainmama57@webtv.net wrote: I am looking for any Hawkins in Macon before 1850. Robert Hawkins buried in Hawkins Cemetery was from Sumner. His sister married a Mcgehee and their daughter married a Smith. All would be buried there 1840. Is there a list of names for Hawkins Cemetery? Is there an 1850 census? Pat ==== TNMACON Mailing List ==== This list is for sharing Macon County, TN. Genealogy!
