I recently became aware of a book titled, "History of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee." Can anyone tell me how I might obtain a copy of it? My grandmother was a school teacher and I can remember as a small boy riding with her on weekends from Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. to obtain jars of water from the springs there. My grandmother would drink one glass of this water everyday. I can also remember as a young boy, my mother and aunt taking my siblings, cousins and me to a swimming pool there. I had not been back to Red Boiling Springs for probably 25 years until last year when visiting my parents in Kentucky, we decided to drive there. The swimming pool was gone but some of the grand old hotels were still there. I pumped one of the old wells and forced myself to drink some of the water to remember how much I had disliked it. The smell of the sulphur reminded me of the inside of my grandmother's refrigerator in the 1960s. I have nothing but good memories of Red Boiling Springs and would like to find the book. I'll pass though on any samples of the water. Gary
