<PRE>Several contacted me privately to see if I had found where to purchase the Red Boiling Springs book. Thanks to the Macon County Historical Society I was able to reach the author, Vernon Roddy, tonight. What a nice guy! We talked for over an hour. It's a small world as we know quite a few people in common including an old college roommate of mine. Vernon said the book was printed in 1991 with only 500 copies that sold out. He had hoped to reprint it this past summer but due to personal reasons was not able to get to it. He said another printing will be forthcoming this summer if all goes well. Happy Thanksgiving and safe traveling to all. Connecticut is suppose to get 4"-7" of snow tonight and tomorrow.
