I find a William Gibson listed in the 1830 census of Sumner County, Tennessee. Then he is listed in the 1840 census of Smith County. Later in 1850 census, he is found in Macon County. Could he have lived in the same area and be found listed this way in the census? Did the county lines change this much? Would appreciate your help. Leon Barton
