    3. If any of the following rings a bell with anyone, please let me know. In 1784 Hannah Oglesby Carr and her children left Washington County Virginia and "coming the great route of that period, by way of Cumberland Gap through Kentucky" came to Tennessee. One of her children was John Carr who wrote "Early Times in Middle Tennesse." Another was her son by Elisha Oglesby, Elisha, Jr., a Revolutionary War soldier buried at Echo in Macon county. After first stopping at Mansker's station, Elisha and his family finally settled at Echo Springs, which is now in Macon county. Elisha first married Mary Bryan(t) and after her death Selah Rogers. He had 17 children: Elizabeth, James, Daniel, Hannah, Nellie, Peggy, Elisha, Wesley, William, John McGee, Frances, Alice, Stephen, Henry, Priscilla, Clifton Allen, and Sally. Daniel (1785-1859) married (1804) Mary White (1788-1865). Their children were John, Elisha, James, Emaline, Rebecca, Archy. Archy (1823-1897) married (1843) Sarilda, Zerilda, Zarella Carr (1824-1894) Their children were: James K P, Daniel Frank, Mary E. John Henry, Emeline, AA, Lee, William, Hetta.
