Hello Sue~ My name is Tim Cohea, I'm a descendant of Asa Joiner (or Joyner) Shrum, the "just-younger" brother of Pleasant Franklin Shrum. I can't say that I have a lot of info on the Loveladys either, I had a hard time tracking them. Tracked them back to their former states though. Are you a descendant of Pleasant Franklin and his first or second wife?? Of course you know that his first wife was the younger sister of Asa Joiner's wife don't you?? In the long ago past I had contact with a couple of the descendants of Pleasant Franklin who were, well "double-cousin" descendants to me and my clan. One of them was kind enough to share the photo of Pleasant Franklin in his Civil War uniform with me (in 8x10 form no less!!), a nice looking man though he looks for the world like one of my own uncles!!! Pathetically nobody anywhere in my clan has EVER seen a picture of Asa Joiner Shrum! Or of ol' Peter and Sarah Shrum either, oh! and my preacher-grandmother insisted that Sarah's name was Becky Lovelady too!.
