Tina, thank you for the information. Elder E.L. Smith was a son of Abel & Martha Dillehay Smith and brother to my ancestor Thomas. I hope to be in Tn for a couple days in late July, hopefully I can get to the library at Lafayette and take a look at the book. Does the article mention any Gregory's, church or school. Mrs. Cothron, The article about the church mentions a W. C. Gregory as a clerk in 1901.I have looked up Abel and Martha Dillehay Smith, but I did not find it in this book. Doesn't mean they are not in there connected to another story. It doesn't have a full name index, it has a last name index. I will check the cemetery book and see if they are buried in Macon County. Will let you know what I find.
