Hi Jeanne, I am here, just not on the computer as much as usual. I don't know why the emails came back. Max passed away on July 4, 2001. In late Mar. my oldest son went to work at a truck stop in Cookeville. After a few weeks a guy he worked with asked him who his parents were. He told him my name and that his dad had passed away. This guy told him stories about me, and that he had a crush on me in high school, etc., etc. Well, he asked Chris if he could call me. He did and I was shocked. Chris had mentioned his name but I didn't really remember him. I told him Max hadn't been dead but a little over 9 months and I wasn't ready for anyone. I said last fall that if God had anyone for me he would put him in front of me; I wasn't looking for anyone and didn't want anyone. Well, two weeks later Glenn called again. I told him we could be friends and I would go to eat with him sometime. He said he would wait forever. He has been divorced 10 yrs. and is a Christian. A few days later he called again and begin calling every day. It took 5 weeks for me to let Glenn come to the house and we went to eat. He was like someone I knew all my life. To make it short, he asked me to marry him in late June; I said yes. But wanted to wait. I waited for God's guidance and answer to my prayers. I know God put Glenn in my life. We married on Sept. 5. I had a lingerie shower from teachers, a linen shower from church, and a money tree from school, as well as a reception on Sept. 8 attended by 75 people. I am happier than I have been in yrs. Max was sick for so long; he told me not to sit around and mope when he was gone. My familly and friends wouldn't let us get married in peace, or rather have peace and quite. We and the pastor and wife were the only ones at our wedding; I teach with his wife. The rest was all arranged by sisters and friends. I am happy. I live in Cookeville, but teach in Baxter. I WILL RETIRE on Dec. 31; I am thrilled; so is Glenn. He will be 55 in Mar. I turned 55 on Oct. 9. Write again. Thanks for asking about me.
