Celeste: I was thinking that maybe Martha was a Hargis before she married Meador. I went back to the 1880 Macon County census and found two Martha Hargis' listed. One was the daughter of Shadrack and Nancy "Ann" C. Burns Hargis. She was born ca 1870 and married twice - 1st to William Lany Glover and 2nd to Warren C. Cox. Shadrack and Nancy had a son George W. Hargis who was 5 years old in 1880 so he could be the George who Martha Meador is living with. The other Martha is Martha C. 14 years old in the 1880 Macon County census and she is the daughter of Zachariah and Hannah Hargis. I do not know who she married. Sorry I was not much help but I was thinking that Martha Meador was probably living with some of her family and could be a Hargis. Hope you find out who she was. Peggy
Thanks, Peggy, for your help.
