Hello, My Great Great Great Grandfather, David Frank White fought in the Civil War. He was in the 8th TN Mounted Infantry, Co. D Along with David there are other Whites listed in his unit. 1. David F. White - enlisted Dec 10, 1864 - age 21 (fromMacon County) 2. Herchell A. White - enlisted Dec 10, 1864 - age 18 3. John W. White - enlisted Dec 10, 1864 - age 22 4. Stephen S. White - enlisted Mar 10, 1865 - age 19 5. James C. White - enlisted Jan 10, 1865 - age 18 This unit enrolled at Carthage with men mainly from Smith, Jackson, and Macon Counties.
