    1. [TNMACON] Ethler Crittenton Goad
    2. Peggy
    3. Tina and Gary: I agree that Gertrude Goad was the daughter of Reuben Harvey and Harriet White Goad, but I disagree as to the parents of Ethler. Here is why: 1850 Macon County TN census: Dist 9 HH 522 Lacy L. Goad 19 is living in the household of his grandparents Reuben and Molly Witcher Goad along with his parents Colman D. and Mary D. (Young) Goad plus Lacy's brothers. 1860 Macon County TN census: Household 916 Lacey S. Goad 29 and his wife Ophelia F. (Young) Goad 31 are living in the same household with Ophelia's family - father Cyrus and family. By this time Lacy's parents have moved to Kentucky where Coleman died in 1861. (Ophelia's parents were Cyrus and Elizabeth Young). 1870 Macon County TN census: Dist 7 HH 37 Goad, Lacy L. 39 Goad, Ophelia T. 42 Goad, Ethler C. 9 Male Goad, Edgar W. 6 Male In the Macon County TN Cemetery Book, Volume 2 Goad, Ophelia T. 2 Feb 1829-1 May 1884 wife of L. L. Goad Ophelia is buried in the Young Cemetery, Macon County at Lafayette, TN along with her Young family. Smith County TN Marriage Book: L. L. Goad & Nancy J. Duke married March 5, 1889 by W. L. Kemp Jr. Justice of Peace 1900 Macon County TN census: HH 77 Lacy L. Goad born Feb 1831 Nancy J. Goad born Feb 1837 HH 78 Ethler C. Goad born Mar 1861 Gertrude Goad born July 1865 Hattie T. Ethler C. Mattie E. Ollie L. Kittie E. Edmon H. I have tried to use the records available to reflect where these Goad's belong. There are so many of us. Peggy
