I am researching the family of Elias Atkerson and his wife, Rhody Cliburn, their son, William Atkerson and his wife, Malinda Parker, their son, James Ira Atkerson and Eliza Jane (Jennie) Sloan, and their children. Elias Atkerson came to Smith County around 1810-1811 from Bedford County, Virginia with his wife Rhody, and possibly other members of her family.
