Carlolyn, The Echo Post office was in western Macon County south of New Harmony and not too far from the present Trousdale County line. In May 9 , 1855 Prier W. Carter was appointed postmaster. This post office probably existed up until the turn of the century. It would have been on the Old Hartsville Turnpike and would be in the present 3rd district of Macon County.
