I am trying to determine if Elihu Steen b. 1845 Monroe Co KY d.1909 Macon Co TN is related to Jasper Steen b. 1844 Monroe Co KY d.1926 Allen Co KY. I know they aren't brothers based on the 1850 census, but thought they might be cousins. I think Elihu's father was John, son of Joseph b. NC and Sally b. SC. I believe Jasper's mother was Catherine b. SC, but he was either illegitimate or his mother was widowed before 1850. I can't find Jasper in the 1860 or 1870 census. Does anyone know who the parents of Elihu Steen were, and the parents of Jasper? These are both collateral lines to my Hargis family. Thanks Sharon Tabor
