Hi Ruth, thanks for the reply. Depends on which Elam you are referring to......there were several of them in the early 1800.s. Looks like Vesper Russell descends from Elam born 1792 in VA married to Nancy Williams.born in NC. I don't have much on the John Russell family, just a pedigree chart that was sent to me. Casey.
