Hi again, I'm the one who wrote to you a few days ago about the descendants of John Sloan. I don't have your Delilah Jane, but I only have one of some 22 lines that descended from John Sloan. She could easily have been John Sloan's grandaughter of ggrandaughter, for his grandson Hezekiah Elisha Sloan was born in 1842. His sisters were: Margaret Elizabeth, Camilla, Elizabeth Jane, Susan Sarah Ruth, and Nancy. Helen Gant Donald Will keep your Delilah on file, and let you know if I find her. Hi all: I am trying to find the family of Sanders Sisco, b. abt. 1843, m. to Emaline Carver, b. 1840, with children Martha, Alexander, Jane, Johnnie and Mary. They show up in the 1870 Jackson County Census, with these children and Emaline's brother, Alexander McNabb Carver, but then I lose them in 1880--not in Jackson, Macon or Putnam counties. Emaline and Sanders made a claim against her grandfather's (Cornelius Carver) estate in 1872, so I know they were in the area at least until that date. Emaline's brother, Benjamin Carver, moved to Newton County, AR in 1882 with his family, so its possible they will show up there in the 1900 census, but haven't checked it yet. Does anyone know where Emaline and Sanders Sisco went after 1870 or whether they or children are buried in Jackson County (I've checked Macon County Cemeteries, no luck)? Thanks for the help. Nancy
Hi again: Looking for three children of John S. Carver, who died in 1865 in Jackson County, TN. I can't locate 3 of his children who were orphaned at his death in the 1870 census for Jackson or Macon Counties: Isaac, b. 1852, Mary F. b. 1853, and Angeline, b. 1854. The would have been approximately 18, 17, and 16, respectively, in the 1870 census. Mary F. and Angeline could have married by then. Any assistance would be appreciated. Nancy
