    3. Hi Leland! It's good to hear from you. Thanks for the information on your greatgrandparents as it will save me a great deal of time searching. I thought Mothie might be the Martha Gregory daughter of Abel J. and Sarah M. (Sallie) Owen Gregory that I have been trying to find. She has been the most elusive ancestor I've come across so far. All I know about her is that she was born Abt. 1868 in Macon County. I know eventually I will find something on her. Thanks again! 3. Mr. Stone: According to the Macon County TN History and Families book, It closed it doors in early 1900's and reopened as a community church for all denominations. The building was sold and moved away in the 1940's. The article mentions several early ministers, but not their years of service as minister. Hope this helps Tina ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Stone" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2002 9:54 PM Subject: [TNMACON] Shiloh Methodist Church > I am interested in any information on the Shiloh Methodist Church in > the North section of Macon County on Long Creek. > When did it cease to exist? 3. Hi Linda, I'm afraid I can't help going back any further than you have but you have helped me. My Grandmother was Lou Andrews, daughter of Henry (Alvis) Andrews who was the son of Drewry Andrews Jr.who was the son of Jack/John Andrews, son of Drewry Andrews. That would make Jack/John and your Thomas brothers. You have helped me in that I didn't know that Drewry had two wives. I only had Rebecca Parker. I also only have 7 children listed Jack/John, Thomas A., William, Martha, Susan, Elizabeth, and Nancy. Do you know which one I'm missing and also do you know the mother of each one? Thanks cousin.............Dean Gregory ----- Original Message ----- From: "linda kraft" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, August 05, 2002 6:15 PM Subject: [TNMACON] Andrews Family > I am the gtgtgtgtgtgranddaughter of Drewry Andrews b 14 Feb 1783 in Chatham Co NC. Hi, Linda I have some family connections to Drewry ANDREWS but not blood connections. I believe that Rebecca PARKER may have been the daughter of William PARKER, my g-g-g-g-grandfather. In William's will he leaves one dollar to Drewry ANDREWS and his heirs, but Rebecca was not mentioned, and neither were the names of the heirs. Apparently Rebecca had died prior to William making his will. Drewry ANDREWS second wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" GAMMON, was the daughter of John GAMMOM and Mary DIXON, my g-g-g-g-grandparents. My grandfather, Joseph Harrison REID's second wife was Lassie ANDREWS. I don't know who Lassie's parents were, or if she was connected to Drewry ANDREWS. Joseph and Lassie had one child. I don't have the children's names for either one of Drewry's wives. Could you please send me a list of their children. Thanks. Bobby L. West
