George, did you get my Eli Frank Gammon Decedents record. If you did let me know if you would like to have it in a different form. Did you get my e-mail in answer to your e-mail about your self. Ruth
Last week this site was so busy with surnames coming in almost constantly. What happened? Not a peep from anyone ! Ruth Kirby

I found this family in the 1850 Smith County census, then in following years, they are in Macon County. Nunly, Curtis 31 Saddler born VA, Nancy E. 28 born TN, John 10, Mary J. 6, Lorrisa 5, and Martha 3. Hope this helps someone. Peggy
Hey Sandy...I just checked the 1880 Census for Eliza Anthony Miller, and she is listed in the following household: James H. Miller, 50, KY, KY, KY Sarah A, 16, daughter, --- Louella, 12, KY, KY, TN Rebecca, 10, KY, KY, TN Nancy A., 8, KY, KY, TN Eliza Anthony, 6, KY, KY, TN Henry, 4, KY, KY, TN Jo Browder, 1, --- 249-259 District 6, New Roe It looks like her mother may have passed shortly after the birthof Jo Browder. This census shows Eliza at the age of 6, however, her date of birth was 1871. This is what my Granny had listed in her bible. Plus this is what is shown on her tombstone at Hickory Hill. I hope this helps. Let me know if this connects in your Millers! That would be nice. As for Mattie Carter, I am sorry, but I don't have information in my tree on her. ----- Original Message ----- From: "jsmince" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 10, 2003 7:14 PM Subject: Re: [TNMACON] Surnames - CARTER > Lisa, > > Hello, I am related to the Millers of Allen Co.,Ky. but I don't have this > Eliza A. Today I came across a tree on WorldConnect that shows Polly Woodward as being the wife of John W. Atkerson who lived in Smith County around 1820-1830, and who are buried in LaFayette, Macon County. I have searched for Polly's maiden name, and have other relations that have searched many years for this name. Does anyone have any evidence that would prove her maiden name. Thanks so much for your help John Addison 'Venable

Lisa, Hello, I am related to the Millers of Allen Co.,Ky. but I don't have this Eliza A. Miller. I am thinking she is related to my Millers, but I have lots of holes in this family. Can't seem to find a common link. I am connected to Carters in various places, no strong lines, but am curious if you have anything on a Mattie Carter b-April 4, 1895 and d-Dec 13, 1922 in Allen Co., Ky. she was married to Andrew Jackson (Shag) Harrison Jr. Andrew Jackson Harrison Sr. is my gr gr gr grandfather. Hi Sandy: Really all I have on the second wife is listed below. Her birth and death dates, their children and that they are buried at Hickory Hill next to their 2 year old daughter they lost. I also have them in a couple of Allen County Censuses. Are you researching Her or do you have any info on this part of the Carter line? Thanks! ----- Original Message ----- From: "jsmince" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, February 08, 2003 4:09 PM Subject: Re: [TNMACON] Surnames - CARTER > Hi, Do you have any info on the 2nd wife, Eliza Miller? > > Sandy > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Lisa Cain" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Friday, February 07, 2003 6:42 PM > Subject: [TNMACON] Surnames - CARTER > > > > Hi All - > > > > My main surname for Macon County is Carter.
