This is my first time to write I am looking for information about several of my ancestors who lived or were buried in Loudon Co. These two Daniel D. Kelly(Kelley) and his wifie Susan Sullivan Pratt.moved to Tn from Virginia. They show up on the TN census in1830, then in 1840 they show up in Roane Co., in 1850 Monroe Co., in 1870 back to Roane, in 1880 finally in Loudon Co. At this time they were in their 70's. They were farmers, I think. They are both buried in Roberson Cemetary near Philadelphia on the Loudon side. This is the old portion of the cemetary. My gggrandfather Daniel passed in July 1880 and my gggrandmother Susan passed in Dec. 1890. Has anyone heard of a farm area known as "Head of the Creek". This is where my ggrandmother Perlina (Kelly) Shelton and her husband Andrew Shelton lived. Perlina is a daughter of Daniel and Susan Kelly. It is located "about a mile out of Philadephia, TN on the Loudon Side" per Annie L. Young. It is possible that this is where Daniel and Susan lived or close to it. I was in contact with a man at the Karnes Funeral Home but he did not have any records that far back. Any information would be appreciated Rosalind Kelly Sherman (msarahroz@aol.com)
