Is anyone familar with Cave College? It may have been located near the Charles H. Bacon Farm on Vonore Road and moved to Burton Mill and renamed Burton Mill School. There was a picture in the 1970 Loudon County Centennial Edition of the newspaper that was taken around 1917 or 18 when it was Burton Mill School and a frame structure. Anyway, I have a picture of 30-35 children and their teacher that is taken in front of a log structure. On the back it say "Cave College School, teacher Albert Moore" and "Almeda Lomax and Zoe Lomax". Zoe was the second wife of my husbands grandfather Claude Fine and Almeda was her sister. I don't know when the picture was taken but Zoe was born in 1896 and I would estimate it being taken about 1905-1910.
