My ggg-grandparents were John D. and Jane Goodwin. Their son William Banks Goodwin married Catherine Buckalew on January 24, 1828 in Roane County,TN. Their children were Alpha Jane, Mary Ann "Polly", Andrew Jackson, Peter W., and John D. (Mary Ann is listed as Polly on census but I have see family charts list her William and Catherine with daughter Mary Ann who married George Monger so I am assuming for the moment that Mary Ann and Polly are one and the same.) Their daughter Alpha Jane married Lewis Alfred Waller (their son Peter W. Goodwin married Lewis' sister America Waller). Lewis and Alpha's daughter Amanda Haynes Waller married William Marion Grubb, Jr. and their daughter Ada Martin Grubb married Wilbur H. Scarbrough (my grandparents). I don't have a James Goodwin in my database yet but I haven't done much research on that line yet. I have a little more regarding William and Catherine's children if you think it would be of help.
