Good Morning Loudon County Researchers, I have been very remiss with this list and the Loudon County site recently primarily because of school being out in the summer. Well, school is back in session, and I wanted to give you a preview of what will be happening at the Loudon County this year. First of all, I would like to wish everyone a warm Tennessee welcome. I failed to do so when the list was created in June. If you have any questions, just holler at me. I may not be able to always find the answers, but I generally have some suggestions. Here are my plans for the year: 1. Index to the County Wills in Loudon County: I have the microfilm for Will Book A and will be transcribing the index to put online. 2. 1891 Enumeration of Male Citizens. This microfilm is at my local library. It contains a list of males over 21 years of age. The census taker in Loudon did a great job because he included their ages and race. Many other census takers in TN simply wrote done that the man was over 21. 3. The 1880 Mortality Schedule. This is on microfilm at the library 4. Mr. Dan Essex is typing up the information from the WPA book on cemeteries. He is also updating the cemeteries. Many thanks to Dan for his help.
