He was born in Halifax County Va. about 1805. He moved with his family to Kanawha County Va/WV in 1849. Sarah has moved out, possibly with Lucinda and Boldon E. Schrimpshire who she lived with in the 1900 and 1910 Census'. James E. is not listed and I have been unable to find him after 1870. He evidently died or, more likely, moved to another state. Joseph Huston married Margret A. Fuller and had 7 children. I found Joseph Huston in Census of 1880 Loudon Co., then 1900 - 1920 Hamilton Co. Francis is missing, he left and went to Alabama where he re-married. Henry Clay should be 16 years old, but is missing from Census. I have been unable to find him after 1870; He did not die however, because my father, Edward Glen Guider, Sr. remembers him. Note that the family now lives in Loudon Co. I don't believe they moved, I think the county was formed around them when it was established in 1870. Spelling of sur name is Gryder. 1900 Loudon Co., TN. 7th Civil District. No occupation given. Age 55, Head of house. Lives alone. Owns House, Free. John Sherman married Eliza (?) and had 8 children. (I was wrong before when I said John's wife was not known.) Frost Snow is the son of Trooper John Snow (b. ca 1704). Trooper John Snow had at least four sons: Frost (b. 1730), Ice (b. 1732), John (b. 1734), Richard (b. ca 1740) Trooper John Snow had two brothers: Thomas Snow (d. 1781) and Captain Henry Snow (d. 1784). One of the family articles does reference the same Civil War history on Andrew Jackson Snow who lived to be 100 years old. Has to be the same Andrew Jackson. Sandy

If I can find it I will post it for you. I do know that there was a Dr. W. T. Foute that built a home at the corner of Hill Street and Third Ave in Lenoir City around 1891. My husband's family lived next door to this house and in 1971 when my husband and I married, Josephine Foute was living in the house and she gave us a Bible for a wedding gift. After she died the house was sold outside the family. Sandy
