Jane, I am actually not related to the Greer Family. They are an allied name that married into my Whorley family. I just used the Greer name when Julia ask if someone would use a surname from Lincoln County to check out Ancestry.com But I do have a question about a Greer - Prosser connection. Otey Prosser was a Revolutionary Soldier that settled in Washington County, Georgia and we know that the Greer and Prosser families settled in close to the Chestnut Ridge area. There is an Otey Prosser Greer buried here in Dickson County, Tennessee. Is he related to the Greer and Prosser family of Southern Middle Tennessee?
