I got the LCT book some years ago (2005?), and now the binding seems to be coming completely loose. Is there an easy fix for this? cheers, Richard Stewart
Hi Richard, And I thought it was me, for I am hard on my books. I got the last Cemetery book and had to beg for it. They did not want to sell it to me for it was damaged. After about a year mine too was falling apart. So this is what I did. I took it all apart (which was not hard) used a 3 hole punch to put 3 holes in each page. They all fit nicely in a 2 1/2 inch 3 ring note book. The note book has a pocket on the outside of the binder so as to slip in a preprinted title for the book. I printed out in bold letters CEMETERY. Having to ware glasses this really helps me find it on my book shelf. I am finding that I am going to have to do the same with Marsh's LCT marriage records book. As it is smaller I have not found a binder as yet for it. I may even have to put the pages in protective sheets as the pages are getting dog eared. In that case I will have to go to a regular size binder. After Mr. Lewter told me how much it was going to cost to reprint the Dean Porch 1850 LCT census that had notes by his wife, I understand why books are printed and bound as they are. To make them properly the customer could not afford the book.
