I was wondering if anyone had any information on the Nixon family. I have recently found out that my ancestor from Lincoln County, Wiley Alexander Hobbs was adopted in 1858- 1860 by the Hobbs Family( John W. and Alley). I found them in the 1860,1870,1880 census records. Wiley was born 4/1858 with the last name Nixon and his parents died or were killed. We are trying to find out his birth parents names. I was wondering if there were any court records of a will or guardianship between the two families. Or if the Nixon family were listed in the tax rolls for 1858 or 1859. We are desperately trying to locate our lost family line. Any help would be appreciated.
