I totally agree about the level of IQ involved in the handling of the census and it value when not everyone will receive the same level of questions. How can this be a fair assessment of our population, vital statistics and diversity? However, since it is a government mandated info collection, I wonder if we have the right to refuse to answer the questions. By the same token, they(govt) relies on our honesty in filling out the blanks with the truth and nothing but the truth. I can see some real flaws in the system. Now they have you on GPS, so if you fail to return the form, I guess they hunt you down. Just my humble opinion. We filled them out in1990, 2000. Don't remember even getting one in the years prior. We lived in the same house from 1967-1991. Looking forward to the 1940 being released. Not sure when it will be available to us tho. > Date: Mon, 1 Mar 2010 07:34:12 -0800 > From: msvnhrn@jps.net > To: tnlincol@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [TNLINCOL] Re 2010 census blog > > My understanding is that the 1930 census, was first water damaged when > the water used to put out a fire in the Department of Commerce building > flowed into the basement where the census was stored.
