    1. [TNLINCOL] Help with my brick wall
    2. Harold Gobbell
    3. I've recently seen some activity on this board related to Richardson's in Lincoln Co. Here's where I need some help from people with access to records in Lincoln and Bedford Co. In 1830 and 1840 my gggrandfather, James Riley Gobbell/Gobble b. July 17,1826 was in Bedford Co. Tn. In 1850 he was in the Lincoln Co. census in the household with his father and mother John and Ruhamy Gobbell/Gobble. By 1853 they all had migrated to Wayne Co. Tn. James Riley Gobbell/Gobble then had a son named John R. Gobbell/Gobble who was born April 02, 1853. I'm told by and old relative that the middle initial "R" was for Richardson. In the 1860 Wayne Co. census no wife is in the household of James Riley Gobbell/Gobble and his son John R. I've been searching for the wife of James Riley Gobbell/Gobble for years. He must have married in Lincoln, Bedford or Wayne co. after 1850 and before April 02, 1853. His wife more than likely died on or after April 02, 1853 or she chose not to move to Wayne Co. Since "Richardson" is generally a surname, I'm thinking that might have been his mother's maiden name. I'm grasping for straws; any help will be a Godsend for me.
