    1. [TNLINCOL] Monroe Shelton
    2. Hi, I found on the Tn deaths site that Samuel G. Shelton b. 17 Jun 1879 d. 8 Jul 1939 Lincoln Co. son of James Monroe Shelton and La Vina Wilbanks This was great as I descend from Monroe Shelton, and had found several references that his name was James J. Monroe, Jesse James M., Monroe, J.M....several mentions, and now with this can be sure of at least first name...same thing with Vinie..(as listed 1880), marriage record was L. A. Wilbanks to J.M. Shelton..20 Jun 1878 so, things falling into place there found another death cert for son John W. Shelton, death cert just named father Monroe Shelton, mother unknown...Monroe Shelton married Sarah J. Hill 20 Dec 1871... question here, I also find in marriages: The gender of Eliza Shelton is female. Spouse: John Hill Marriage Date: Jul 26, 1871 County: Lincoln This record can be found at the County Court Records, Film # 0968562 - 0968564 how might this Eliza relate to the Sheltons, and does John Hill relate to Sarah J. above?
