Under Order of Court of Clerk and Master of Lincoln County, sold to the highest bidder November 11, 1869, land of Newton Davis. Heirs of N.C. Davis, dec'd; Narcissa Cowden wife of H.C. Cowden, Josephine wife of J. C. Irvine, Adeline wife of Moses Park, Margaret Westmoreland of Arkansas, C.W. Davis and R.C. Davis, his brothers and sisters, dependents, Eliza, Narcissa wife of Thomas Kersey, Ann Holden, Dotia, Newton, Jeff, Cynthia and Frances Wilson, children of deceased sister, Eliza Wilson, wife of defendant Boone Wilson, C.W., Xantippe, John J. Wilson & Sarah wife of John E. Smith, Children of deceased sister, Dotia, who was the wife of Jonas Wilson, also sister, Mary J., wife of Wesley Moore. Since Bill was filed following persons have died: R.C. Davis, Cynthia Wilson, Frances Wilson, Sarah A. Smith. Also Mary J. Moore, Ann Holder, Dotia Wilson, Newton Wilson and Jefferson Wilson. Also in this case, a Deed from John R. Clark to A. P. Clark, 165 acres sold for $5.00 and other consideration, District 10, 1873. The family of John R. Clark; wife Tempy, minor children; John T., 15 years, Mary E. 13 years, Sallie J. 10 years, Sarepta 6 years, William P. 4 years, Maggie 1 year, all living in 1869 except Mary E. Involves land in Giles and Lincoln Counties, Tennessee. ********************** Estate Settlements of Giles County by Elizabeth Witt White File Box VIII Filed September 15, 1894 Allen Pitts & als vs Celestia D. Pitts & als Complainants represented to the Court that Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Pitts died at her residence in Giles County August 15, 1894, intestate. Mrs. Pitts left surviving her children: Allen Pitts, Isabella who married John Wilson, but was then deceased, and Celestia O. Pitts. Granddaughters ; Ola and Effie Newton, children of deceased daughter Sarah Ann who married "Doc" Newton. Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Pitts died owning a tract of 10 acres of land which lay in the 11th District and was bounded North by Marks, South by Harwell, East by Harwell and West by Ballentine. Complainants Allen Pitts and Isabella Wilson suing to have land sold for division among heirs. Note: Elizabeth Ann, daughter of Ransom and Mary Neal Wells, married Charles H. Pitts, 49, S.C.
