    3. Hi Anita, There were many neighbors in William Clark White's area that ran through the brush to see what those soldiers and scalawag's were up to. I assume there were several who were on horse back who joined the group out of curiosity too. I do not believe the Tucker boys had any idea they would end up at their uncle's farm. It was noted in the testimony of many that all those soldiers and accompanying men were loud, drunk and cursing. Two young men who saw where they ended up and what was taking place must have realized it would not be a good time to say they were related. They did what they dared to help Elizabeth K. [Wilkerson] White with her husband and daughter. I do not think they bore any blame. I am sure they were scared to death. Regarding using the middle name of White rather than Wright as some state; Edith Chapman [White ] Tucker gave the middle initial of W. to three of her children: William W. b ca 1818 NC Elizabeth W. b 14 April, 1822 NC Sarah W. born 22 Dec 1830. Their sister, Malinda Tucker, married a Wright long after her above siblings were born. There were no Wright marriages in William Clark White's ancestry that I have ever found. No doubt there were marriages between the Tucker and Wright families. I have almost NO information about James Tucker's family. I do not even have his parents names. If you can tell me anything about the Tucker's ancestry, I would be appreciative. I am always open to correction with proof that I am wrong. .·:*¨¨*:·.~* Ginny *~.·:*¨¨*:·. Nee White
