Saturday, May 28, is a Bellefonte Cemetery Work Day. We will begin at 9:00 a.m. and work until Noon. Bellfonte Cemetery is in Jackson County, Alabama in Bellefonte, by or at least close to the TVA plant just outside of Scottsboro. Agenda: 1. Clean additional tombstones (Please, EVERYONE BRING 2 gallons of water even if you do not work on this project.) 2. Photograph all grave markers and record their present condition. Digital camera will be furnished. 3. Cut small vegetation such as Privet which has grown since cemetery was first cleared in March and April. 4. Finish clearing walking paths. 5. Fill in some more sunken graves and animal dens. 6. Other improvements as energy and time allow. I hope to see you there Saturday morning. PLEASE pass the word and bring others who can help in any way. PLEASE BRING yard tools such as weedeater, grass clippers, and your own work gloves. I will bring supplies for cleaning tombstones. I also plan to have Jim Bailey distribute more sulfur and moth balls on Thursday. These materials seem to ward off the critters. Ann B. Chambless
