Wiley H. and John S. Carrigan. Cap. William Moore raised the Tn. 8th Army. It is said most volunteers were from Moore Co and Cap. Later Lt. Col William J. Thrash took over. Under another list that includes the Carrigans is called the Mulberry Riflemen. My g. Grandfather enlisted in Mar 1862 in Mulberry but I can't find him listed here. That's why I looked. Many of the names are mentioned in my g. grandmothers letters to her husband but not him. I thought you and cousin Jo Vestavia might find something of Carrigan interest. I think you know my other g. grandmother, Sarah Leftwich Higgins, was sister to Francis Higgins. -- Charles & Beverly Schull 1953 Yolanda St. Springfield, OR 97477 Phone: 541-746-4097 E-mail: [email protected]
