Ginny, Would appreciate it if you will keep you eyes open for any Gobbel,Gobble or variant spelling in the Rowan Co. book. John Gobbel Family came from there. From around Yadkin River and Grants Creek. They were in Smith Co. Tn. in 1820, Bedford Co by 1830, the Flat Creek area. In 1850 they were in Lincoln Co., near the Chestnut Ridge area maybe.
