    3. Regarding Elizabeth Motlow marrying Andrew Walker (see notation from a previous post below my question), can anyone share any more information about the source of this? Interestingly I note Elizabeth Walker being head of household in the 1850 LCT census. Here is the listing: Elizabeth Walker age 63 b. SC Mariah age 41 b. SC <----- if her mother Elizabeth met Andrew Walker in Lynchburg, TN wouldn't Mariah be born in TN? Andrew W. age 70 farmer b. VA It appears to me that Andrew is NOT married to Elizabeth but is somehow related to a deceased husband of Elizabeth's. Anyone have any wills or documents that would answer why Andrew isn't listed as head of household? Thanks, Diane >TN Cousins by Worth S. Ray, 1950 >Moore Co TN page 587 in above book >" In the year 1809, Andrew Walker came to the Lynchburg community, from down in SC and cleared land and erected a home, afterwards known as the Alexander place. His wife was Elizabeth Motlow, the daughter of a Rev War Soldier who came to this same locality about the time Walker did. Mrs. Agnes Motlow was a widow and had 5 sons; >1. Zadoch Motlow >2. William Motlow >3. James Motlow >4. John Motlow >5. Felix Motlow > >There were also TWO daughters; >6. Elizabeth Motlow married Andrew Walker >7. Lauriet Motlow married Mr. Massey - see below >

    1. Re: Person/Marriage finder utility

    3. I have a utility that a friend wrote that will search the 1850 census data I have for possible marriages. Since this data is mostly people found on the 1850 census, the uses I can se for it are: - you have a will from pre-1850 that mentions a daughter but you don't know who she married, I can type in just that first name and come up with all possible spouses. - there is a woman married in 1860 or 1870 who should be in the household of her father in 1850 but you are not sure of her maiden name - or you want to see all the woman with that name on the 1850 census. I can look up by the female name and find all the 1850 households - you know your family should be on the 1850 census but can't find it - maybe their surname got mangled. Maybe their first name is messed up. - I am looking for other reasons to use this program I hope one day to have this on the 1850 web site but right I have to run the program. I am willing to try simple queries. I will not look for all the john's or all the mary's. :-) Send me the names and approx. birth year and any other information that might help. Diane
