Velma, I have to check dates, but you are going to find most of these people in the 1820 LCT and Bedford census. Very definitely, they went through Kentucky. Some stayed in Kentucky and some crossed the river into Indiana. This was the territory south of the Ohio River. Lazarus Whitehead was their first pastor, and he also migrated to LCT with the group. Incidentally, there was a very prominent Hart family in colonial Kent County, DE. Here is another McLaughlin record from Rowan County.
