Whitaker, the widow of Washington Whitaker- March 11, 1856. Lettie L. Whitaker departed this life Oct. 1st, 1886 And on Decr 29th 1887, married Isa R. Smartt, the daughter of S.D. Crum. She having been married to S.G. Smartt. The said H.C. Whitaker having had many trials and sore afflictions and is in his seventieth year thanks to the giver of all goods that he is on the road to Eternal happiness. This Febr 7th, 1892. F.C. Whitaker. P. Whitaker, was born in 1801. They were the father and mother of 12 children to wit; Lawson S.; Henderson C.; Larkin; Sallie C.; that lived to have families and two daughters that died before they married: Frances M. and America. Mark Whitaker was born June 9, 1806 in Kentucky and died Aug 28, 1887 Lincoln Co TN, buried Whitaker Cemetery, Mulberry, LCT. He was the son of Mark Whitaker Sr. and Catherine Boone. Rosanna Rutledge wasborn Feb 29, 1812 in Surry Co NC, and died Sept 8, 1895 LCT, buried Whitaker Cemetery.[They had 15 children]. 1. Charles Lafayette b July 4,1834 and died the same year in LCT 2. Mary Jane Whitaker born May 12, 1836, died 1840 LCT. 3. John Franklin Whitaker born Feb 24, 1838, C.S.A. nuried Atlanta, GA, never married, died about 1865. 4. William Boone Whitaker born Jan 10, 1840, LCT, C.S.A. Died May 16, 1862, Corinth, MS, married Nannie Susan Kimbro, Jan 24, 1861 LCT. She died Oct 13, 1867. 5. Virginia Catherine Whitaker born Nov 10, 1841, never married, died 90 years old in 1931, LCT, buried Rose Hill Cem. 6. America Fredoria Whitaker born Nov 26, 1842 LCT, died 1877, buried Whitaker Cem. married Capt. William Polk Tolley. He died 1909 LCT. 4 children; Lee, William, John and Mary Tolley Williams. 7. Rebecca Maneda Whitaker born Mar 18, 1844, LCT, married Apr 28, 1880 John [Jack] Eaton. She died 1914 Memphis, TN and he died 1914 Memphis. 8. Victoria Josephine Whitaker born Nov 10, 1845, LCT, died 1913 LCT, married Nov 2, 1867 LCT, E. Simpson Terry, died 1924 LCT,- buried Rose Hill CEm. They had 3 children; Laura; Robert and Rose. 9. Rosanna Whitaker b Feb 24, 1847 LCT, married Aug 7, 1872 LCT, buried Rose Hill Cem. Married Rufus Medicus Holman- he died Aug 9, 1883 LCT, They had one son; Hardy Holman 10. Ruth Ann Whitaker born Aug 6, 1849 LCT, died Aug 22, 1877 LCT, buried Whitaker Cem. Married Frank P. Taylor Sept 8, 1873. They had one son- Cornelius - Frank P. Taylor died May 3, 1888 LCT. Buried Rose Hill Cem 11. Mark Whitaker III born Feb 11, 1851 LCT, died 1890 buried Whitaker Cem. Married Dec 23, 1880 Willie Caldwell. No children. She died Dec 16, 1891 LCT age 34 years old. Born 1857, daughter of M.M. Caldwell. 12. Laura Fannie Whitaker born Aug 21, 1852 LCT, died Sept 6, 1933 in Oklahoma, Married John M. Hall Aug 12, 1886 LCT. He died in OK Sept 4, 1911. They had two children; John Mark Hall and Bobbie Hall Morton. 13. Isaac Benjamin Whitaker b May 10, 1855 LCT, died Jan 31, 1931 LCT, buried Rose Hill Cem. Married Mary Lou McDaniel may 7, 1878 LCT LCT. She died Mar 13, 1844 LCT. They had 7 children; McDaniel [Mac]; Margaret Lynne; John Mark; Victoria Terry; Holland Benjamin; Coleman Rutledge and Mary Whitaker. 14. James Chamberlain Whitaker b May 27, 1858 LCT, married Mary Addie Sugg Feb 10, 1886 LCT. He died 1932 LCT and she died Feb 7, 1957, both buried Rose Hill Cem. They children; William Sugg; James J. and Robert T. Sugg. 1878 LCT. 15. Delia Whitaker b Jan 8, 1861 LCT, died July 24, 1893 LCT, married Mary 7, 1883 LCT; William James Osborne- He died Feb 7, 1936 LCT. They had six children; Jennie Mae; Delia; William; Mark W. and John. I am not related to this family and just typed it as it was printed.
