Clement Moberly (wife Mary Fox) born in Bedford co VA....3 sons. 1. William Moberly born ca 1756 2. Clement Jr born ca 1746 3. Isaiah born 14 Dec 1754 Fairfield Co South Carolina, wife Frances Coleman, he died in Lee Creek, Crawford Co Arkansas....at one point this family was in KY. Two daughters of Isiah Moberly 1. Frances Moberly married 01 May 1810 Warren Co Kentucky to Anthony Blacksmith Turney. About 1815 they took a flatboat to Natchez, used Natchez Trace to Columbia, Maury Co TN where some of their relatives were living (Eve Turney SMizer, some of the Turneys).....then 1819 to Wayne Co Illinois. Frances Moberly Turney died 1867 Wayne Co Illinois. 2. Vashti Mobely born 1795 SC, died 1876 Effingham Co Illinois, married 27 Oct 1818 Warren Co KY to Daniel Turney.....one of her sons was quite well known in Illinois politics and is mentioned in some of Lincoln's papers. Leander Jay Sharp Turney was an attorney, judge, 1858 ran for Congress from Illinois, 1862 appointed Sec of State of Washington Territory where for a short while he was also governor, etc. Interesting how these people moved around.....their cousin Jacob B Turney Sr was living in LCT in 1830s.....another cousin was Henry Turney who lived in LCT during Civil War and was a J.P. - you see him on some of the LCT marriage records.
