    3. Diane I was looking for information on early Lincoln newspapers myself yesterday. The Tennessee Newspaper project has indexed them all at the UT-Knoxville website. . . looks like UT-K and the Tennessee State Archives both have early LCT newspapers. Here the site . . . this is good to search any county in Tennessee: http://www.lib.utk.edu/spcoll/newspaper/tnphome.htm Melissa ______________________________ > ATTACHMENT part 3 message/rfc822 Date: Mon, 21 Feb 2005 22:41:58 -0700 From: Diane Casey To: TNLINCOL-L@rootsweb.com CC: TNLINCOL-D@rootsweb.com Subject: Newspapers before 1850 in LCT I am looking for the names of newspaper(s) that might have printed events such as deaths in LCT before 1852. I have looked at the index for the LCT Pioneers for hints and it seems like there must not have been a newspaper in LCT that reported these events of Jane Waller surely would have published some events in the LCT Pioneers. I know Linda Parrish has posted to this list newspaper events from around 1824 (see list archives) from the Village Messenger. What newspaper existed between the two dates of 1824 and 1852 and does anyone know whether they had current events?? --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
