    3. I was at my local library here in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday for our local genealogy society meeting and took the opportunity to browse the shelves for Tennessee related books and reference. My interest is in the MOORE and BELL families of Lincoln but I decided to focus on Andrew MOORE the possible father (thanks Robert Jackson) to my James Thomas MOORE. I am not certain who all of these MOORE's are that are listed below . . . if you notice "Kindess MOORE" died just two days after Andrew "of the prevailing fever" . . . does anyone know what epidemic was in Lincoln during this time? Also it appears that this Andrew MOORE was VERY connected to the Buchanan's in some manner as he is also buried in Buchanan Cemetery along with an "Elis" MOORE. Is there a Buchanan researcher on the list that can share information on John Buchanan and his family? Source: Obituaries from Early Tennessee Newspapers 1794-1851 Edited by The Rev. Silas Emmett Lucas 1978/ISBN: 0-89308-093-4 MOORE, Mrs., Consort of Mr. Eli MOORE, Died in Lincoln County, Ten. "National Banner & Nashville Whig" (Mon., Jan 5 1835) - (Note by me: don't know if she is any connection but copies her down because she was from Lincoln County) MOORE, Mr. Andrew, aged 45, Died in Lincoln County on Tuesday the 28th. "National Banner & Nashville Whig" (Sat., Sept 8, 1827) MOORE, Mrs. Kindness, Aged 30, Died in Lincoln County on the 30th of the prevailing fever. "National Banner & Nashville Whig" (Sat., Sept 8, 1827) (Note by me: Who is this? Died only 2 days after Andrew - I wonder what "prevailing fever" was in Lincoln county . . . could both of the parents have died and the children left orphans?) 3. I am interested to know if your Andrew Moore could be a brother to John Harkins Moore Sr. who was born about 1770. John Harkins Moore, Sr. named his first son Andrew - this could possibly be for a brother. The name Andrew continued through this family -- John Harkins Moore Jr. named his first son Andrew. This family came to Lincoln County from South Carolina. I do not have any connection to Bell or Buchanan families. 3. Hi Melissa, if you come across any Stewarts, Hogans, or Harkins with the Moores, either in TN or AL, I'd be interested in knowing that. They came out of LCT, and were kinda strung across Marion - Fayette - Tuscaloosa, and Perry Counties. Thanks a bunch, Dick Stewart GGG Gson of Solomon Stewart and Sarah Hogan/Hogins
