    3. Assorted libraries around the country have complete sets of The Confederate Veteran. The City of Alexandria, VA and Lib of Congress in my area have them. I believe the Dallas and Houston libraries have complete sets. Occasionally, I've extracted data and submitted to the Ellis Co., TX website as well as one I sent to a SC website about a proud ole veteran (a black man) who proudly marched in each of the CSA Vets parades in Columbia, SC. If any of researcher's have CSA veteran who moved to Texas I suggest they take a look at a book called "Reminiscences of the Boys in Gray 1861-1865, compiled by Miss Mamie Yeary, McGregor, Texas. Morningside Press reissued the book in 1986 which was a reprint of the 1912 edition. If the CSA vet participated in CSA veterans camps then his name, together with a description of his service record can likely be found in this book. In some cases a long story about events that happened to him are described by the veteran. Some of the stories! seem to have been "enhanced" a-bit.
