Joyce, good to hear from you. Yes, I am researching James Bright Harris who married Clementine G. Smith. There was a Martha P______ in their household in Cherokee County, Texas 1850 and 1860. I am unable to read the hand written Census records, but tax rolls show James B. Harris as agent for Martha Pendergrass. Any light on the connection appreciated. Martha was born in KY - either 1796 or 1818 depending on which Census record you use. Ann Gary
